What Cyclone Region C actually means for your build

Darwin and the wider Top End sit in Cyclone Region C under AS/NZS 1170.2. It's a classification that sets the wind loads every element of a home is engineered to resist — roof tie-down, wall bracing, and critically, the windows and doors.

Glazing is usually the weakest link in a cyclonic home. A single failed opening pressurises the building internally and can lift the roof from the inside. That's exactly the discipline we specialise in: cyclone-rated glazing, correctly detailed hold-down systems, and fixings that are tested, not assumed.

Every design in our range is engineered to Region C as standard — it isn't an upgrade, it's the baseline. When you build with us, that engineering sits underneath the whole home before a single finish is chosen.
